The staff in the office were very nice at check in. The campground is in a nice area with lots of little shops, restaurants and coffee houses in town. The camp sites are pretty small and you are super close to your neighbors. If you like to spread out I would recommend booking 2 sites. The restrooms that are near the pool seemed to be the cleanest during our stay. The one closest to us was pretty gross. I think there was some type of issue with it backing up which they took care of pretty quickly. The pool was actually the opposite of relaxing. I would call it chaos. Kids climbing the little grotto and jumping off, a group of 6 or 8 teenagers running around the pool deck and doing flips into the pool. People throwing footballs into the pool in an area full of parents with little ones. There is definitely a need for supervision in that area. It is an accident waiting to happen. There is also a hot tub by the pool we did not use it but it was full of kids the whole time we were at the pool so I'm assuming it worked fine. All in all we thought the area was nice but would most likely look into other campgrounds if we went back.

What a great time at the Winding River Campground! The place was awesome. Love the pool and jacuzzi. The staff was very nice (especially Danny). Clean bathroom facilities and a cool little store that has a good selection of products: groceries, fishing gear, camping gear and they even have beer - nice! Even though car camping isn't our normal arrangements we will definitely go back here to camp. Thanks for having us!!

My and my fiance stumbled upon this campground on google, wanting a spontaneous, but price-friendly experience to celebrate our second anniversary together. The staff(Kim and Mercedes that we personally met) and campers were all so incredibly welcoming and the amenities are perfect! We attended the dance they have every Saturday and the DJ was phenomenal. It was then we decided that we HAVE to have our wedding here! We met the GM Brian who is attentive to all campers 24/7 and is ready for the challenge! We will be back many times!

Just went for the first time and cannot say enough good things. My family stayed at a tent site and it was great. My daughter loved all the activities provided, pool, and bouncing pillow. We were impressed with the friendly staff and manager. Everyone working at the store was helpful. The manager, Brian saw to it personally that we felt welcome and that we could come to him with any questions or concerns (which we had none). The kitchen was delicious and chef was accommodating and kind. I will definitely be going back soon.
