Only location I've been to where the front desk staff was actually rude. I've never experienced not being let into a class for being more than 5 minutes late...especially when you're paying this much for classes. I feel like fitness ppl should be positive and support any effort to work out. Reasons like this amongst others I've canceled my subscription and opted for Barry's and other classes worth the money with great instructors. I'd like to just note that I've been a member since 2015 and have visited so many locations throughout the US during trips, many times I've been late and I've NEVER been restricted from entering the class. The front desk staff is usually young, bubbly and excited about everyone's presence, regardless of the time. It makes this mid-city location seem like all they actually care about is the money of "spots" claimed in the class without actually having to help members get a workout in or meet their fitness goals. It just completely goes against the whole point to the OTF theme of family and fitness. Really disappointing experience.

The trainers are great. The front desk staffs approach to policy is less pleasant. This was my home gym so I went often (had a monthly unlimited class membership), I got the time wrong once and showed up about 8 min late. I asked if I could jump in the class they said no (that I was okay with) I asked if they could reschedule for a later class and not charge me the cancellation as a curtesy. The front desk attendant said he would charge me and I could call later and speak to the manager. I asked for an exception and he looked at my record and said I late cancelled 3 times. Three times in SIX months, the lack of understanding was astounding especially since it wasn’t a fully booked class and I was willing to take a later class the same day. I spoke with friends who are members at OT in other states and they were shocked by the staff response, said that doesn’t happen at their gym. I cancelled my membership, if the Mid-City OT can’t take a human realistic approach to their members it’s not a community worth being a part of.

What's the approximate pricing?

Jess | Sep 19, 2020
Sarah Trimble | Sep 19, 2020

I changed my plan last month and it was $159 for unlimited, $109 for 8 classes, or some drop-in price per class, like $15 (but then there are also lots of different promotions happening all the time). I didn't know / am unsure about the other respondent's mention of a 12 class package -- if it existed that's what I'd choose!
