I do not recommend coming here for euthanasia. The vet who administered the shot to my dog spoke loudly during my dogs final moments with me. I wanted my dog to hear my voice before he went to sleep and I wanted peace and quiet as I processed my dog’s dead body. He was not compassionate at all for the situation we were in. I’m beyond disappointed that the final moments with my dog were filled with the vet saying loud unnecessary things that I already knew about euthanasia and payment.

Amazing staff. Fair prices. Most importantly, They truly care about animals and it shows. I have been to every vet clinic in chico, and this facility is by far the most compassionate towards animals. Not only that, the wait times are not obnoxious like Chico VCA, and the vets actually spend time with you, validating your concerns and worries about your pet. The front desk staff are great too. I can’t recommend them enough.

This veterinarian unit is an absolute disaster from the top down. The front desk receptionists are rude and do not follow up with requests and things you talk to them about at all. The only reason I brought my dog here was because I thought there would be some continuity of care because she had been to the VCA chico emergency room before. I should have never switched my dog out from her original veterinarian in town. They were happy to take my money for a urinalysis but when my dog needed medication for the uti they wouldn't prescribe it even though I had paid for her to get tested and she had been seen for a uti at the vca chico location. This VCA up here is a disaster and the symptoms start at the person picking up the phone. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AND THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DOLLAR FROM ME.
