Stopped by to pick up some milk at 8:15pm. Checked on the store hours prior to going over. Said they were open until 10pm. Showed up and the door was locked with the guy vacuuming. He said they were closed, and the sign on the door said it was open until 10pm. Not sure what is going on with this place?

Went to Mt Shasta Rite Aid to pick up meds to treat COVID-19 because my regular pharmacy didn't have the medicine yet. I called from the parking lot to check if they were ready and they were. I then asked if they could bring them out curbside and they said "no". I told them I didn't think it would be a very good idea for me to come in the store since I had tested positive for COVID-19. They said that I wouldn't allowed to come in and that I would have to get a family member to come in to pick them up. I ased them again to bring them out to me and they refused. I drove the 25 mile round trip to pick up my wife and came back to pick up the meds. Not sure why they could have done a contactless transfer in the parking lot. I quit using this pharnmacy 15 years ago because of their lack of compassion for customers. So glad there are still other options for getting medication that we need in this county.

RiteAid in my area has had major problems for decades with hiring and management. The store is often dirty, is under-staffed, and has a poor track record with filling some of my prescriptions. They failed on several occasions to let me know my medication wasn't in stock and was going to take some time to fill (a week in one case). I had to call several times to find out. Store personnel will not pick up the general line. Since Covid, it is even worse. As of 5/15/2022 about 70% of inventory was out of stock. There were no batteries, there is no makeup, no office supplies, etc. They try to keep critical things like batteries in stock, yet as of last week there were almost none. Meanwhile, their garden section is perfectly fine. They had plenty of Valentine's candy in stock, meanwhile, I could not buy the medical supplies I needed. They also have a problem with vagrants out front and since there is no management, nothing is done. I was accosted by a very aggressive panhandled just a few days ago. I tried to call the store. No answer, so I had to call the police, who took care of it. The store in Mt. Shasta is causing rural blight and needs to be shut down. There is a nice CVS in a tiny location down the street that would do a good job of running a proper pharmacy. RiteAid is known for hiring only part-time, then rotating schedules so employees can't get another job. Until they pay their employees and treat them properly, RiteAid will continue to make billions yet will suffer the karmic repercussions that are forthcoming, one way or the other. RiteAid also did not enforce masks at the beginning of Covid, and during the heaviest surges, except for a several-week window. Their staff fills prescriptions without wearing masks. There are no mandates, yet they are obligated to keep customer safe and they choose not to. I have to wear a mask at work and I have my own office and don't even interact with people very much. Your customers are often sick, RiteAid! We need to be protected from Covid, even now. Especially now. The floors are always filthy. They have had plastic sheeting hanging from the ceiling into buckets for over 6 months, blocking aisles and creating a trip hazard. THERE IS NO EMERGENCY EXIT either. Burnt-out fluorescent lights are left to blink incessantly, causing a seizure risk for epileptic customers such as myself. RiteAid, if you can hear me, please shutter the Mt. Shasta, California store and let another pharmacy do the job.

The pharmacy in Mt.Shasta definitely needs some major changes. The pharmacist yelled at me until I was assertive and he discovered the computer records were totally messed up. Thinking of changing to CVS. The folks are kind, compassionate and competent at this pharmacy.
