Been going to JP lLicks since the 1980s. What’s up with this weighing ice cream jazz? Its advertised as by the scoop? I order a large and I got a sad looking smooshed melted puddle of ice cream and Not a scoop to be found. I’ll pay the money but it’s gotta at least be frozen and resemble scoops. Presentation folks! Really disappointing and not worth it JP licks.

FYI when getting a frappe for takeout it requires a cover that covers the container. The frappe spilled all over the car floor. Returned got another one. Asked why no closed covers and noticed they taped covers. Told and I quote they only do that for door dash. Good bye JP licks.

Won a gift card and took my kids here for ice cream. They are very overpriced for grocery store quality ice cream. Two two-scoops (one topping each) & two three-scoops (one with topping & one without) cost us $36! We all agreed it wasn't very impressive. The employees were not very friendly (didn't know their own menu) and they were out of alot of items. I wanted a soft serve for myself but they didn't have it. Won't be rushing back.

JP Licks is my favorite ice cream vendor in Boston. The ice cream is produced locally in the Jamaica Plains area of Boston and is very good. Also, they have unique monthly flavors introduced that make you want to visit at least once a month just to test out the new creations. 2022 Update: JP licks is still my ice cream place although the monthly flavors have been drastically reduced in number and quality. I know it is in response to the cascading side effects of the pandemic but I hope, over time, it can return to what it once was and not succumb to the bean counters like so many successful good things do.
