The Cottages at Dartmouth Village

Our Dad has received wonderful care at the Cottages at Dartmouth Village. Having suffered a stroke, we wanted to bring him closer to home. He is in a closed unit with other residents that have memory needs. We were very concerned as Dad wanders. We are very happy that Dad is safe at the Cottages. I love the way it is set up so that Dad can meet and talk with a small group of residents within his unit. Eating together at a certain time creates a family-like environment. The staff is wonderful! They are caring and attentive. They know each resident and do their best to make sure all are having a positive day. There are activities to help with his memory. He has fun and continues to work in a positive direction. The staff works to get everyone involved. The Cottages is a beautiful facility. Even the birds are happy. Gardens are meticulously taken care of too. A great amount of care reflects in everything at the Cottages!

The staff at the cottages have been very good to my parents. Moving in during a pandemic is not easy but everything was handled with care. They really try to make their residents feel at ease and at home. The grounds are beautiful and very clean! I am so glad my parents are happy and well cared for.

Many thanks to Sean, the general manager of The Cottages, for consistently keeping families updated during these challenging days. He and his staff are to be commended for exercising good judgement, communicating with families and diligently adhering to protocols in keeping residents safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been very reassuring to know that my dad is in good hands during this difficult time.
