David and his team are amazing and I highly reccomend them! I bought a home completely overgrown in invasive bamboo that was a concern for my home and long term plans for the yard. I got so lucky to find David who told me all about bamboo and ideal ways to manage it (he knows everything about it!). We discussed options and ended up electing to install a pruning trench to manage the bamboo. His team was quick, efficient, and handled any problems with great communication the entire time. At the end of the project they cleaned everything up to look beautiful and explain maintenence and that they were there if anything ever came up in the future. Thanks so much for giving this first time  homeowner access to her yard so she enjoy all the outdoors with friends, family, and most importantly my dog.

I highly recommend Brightside Bamboo for removal and containment. Owner David Benfield provided a comprehensive discussion of options and thoroughly explained the pros/cons of each technique. Our project included installation of about 350' pruning trench and removal of the bamboo outside the trench. The job was done ahead of schedule, completed exactly as described and we are very clear on maintenance requirements thanks to the detailed written instructions provided.

David and crew were a pleasure to work with. The available varieties and size options were fantastic. The love for and knowledge of all things bamboo are reflective of the quality of the product and installation services.

Bright Side Bamboo provided the very best customer service that I’ve experienced in a long time. Not knowing what type of bamboo I wanted David provided me with tons of information and resources to make the right decision. Even after the installation he answers all of our questions and is always willing and ready to help. I would highly recommend anyone looking to invest in bamboo to reach out to bright side no matter your location I’m sure they will be willing to assist and serve you. I’ll Continue sharing pictures throughout the years. I’m super excited about my new Asian garden.

We can ship on orders over $600

Do you know of a poison I can use that will kill the invasive bamboo but won't hurt animals?

Hi Denise, thanks for contacting us. We tend not to recommend herbicides as we find them not very effective on large groves. Physical removal/containment is more effective and safe, and a service we offer. If you had to chose one herbicide, the best and safest would be glyphosate (Roundup) but it won't work if you're trying to remove a large grove with it.
