A morning on the lake, does the soul good... the boat launch in Lake McIntosh, Guilford County is a non-gas engine boat 🚣♀️ launch (kayaks, canoes, Jon boats, paddle boards, Jon boats with trolling motors)

Wonderful public park. Hiking trails of half mile to three miles, volleyball court, playground. But the crown jewel is Mackintosh Lake! Kayaking here is a great experience! Rental kayaks are available, call ahead for seasonal availability. Or bring your own with $5 put-in fee.

Excellent place to go fishing boating camping or hiking but the launching point in the parking lot are about a quarter mile apart so it's a little hike back to the thing back to the parking lot but it's well worth the walk are you talking about your boat no Guilford McIntosh

They just won't let you take your dog in the lake, I guess they don't want the dogs to upset all the birds. I did see a copperhead once while I was walking my dog on the trails, I walk them there frequently, just keep an eye out.
One section of the lake allows gas powered boats, the other section does not.

The City of Burlington runs this park and owns the Lake. Burlington spans both Guilford and Alamance County. Guilford County funds the park somewhat as well. That is the arrangement. I once worked part time for Burlington City Parks and Rec. That is how it was explained to me. You see certain things labeled Guilford County and other things labeled City of Burlington with in the park and on buildings and vehicles. Nice park. Enjoy it. Hours are shortened in the winter. Open 12 months a year. Closed Wed and Thu as well as some major holidays.
Wilma Alfred. Guilford Lake Mackintosh Park and Marina Exit 138/HWY 61 is closed on Wed and Thu from Feb to Nov. In Dec amd Jan thr park is open Fri, Sat,Sun due to shorter daylight hours. Lake Mackintosh Marina exit 141 Huffman Mill Road is closed Mon and Tue. I think Lake Cammack is closed Mon and Tue as well. Not sure on that one completely, but think those are the closed days. It is off of Union Ridge Road which is off of 62 North. I hope that helps.
