Harmony house AKA.. Harmony Hell Hole Originally this was posted on booking.com but now it’s been blocked saying “This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.” I am hoping Google won’t allow them to remove this as anyone considering this should BEWARE!! My stay was at the end of January for 4 nights. It was the worst experience I’ve had with booking or any air b&b. We arrived with instructions to enter the premises using a key left in a slipper outside. Further instructions indicated to use the same slippers inside. Upon entering, the floor was filthy, the smell was awful, dishes were left out and dirty, and most importantly basic things like the toilet flushing was not working and the sink drain was overflowing. Upon contacting the host, another woman appeared and entered the house, which I later found out to be Sylwia Jones. She tried to fix the toilet and then provided a flashlight saying we could use a toilet outside, however the toilet inside was still inoperable and because I did not pay to camp I was not going to go outside with a flashlight in the middle of the night. After Sylwia left and the toilet was still not functional, I demanded some sort of refund. Sylwia re-entered the house and was knocking on our inside bedroom door. It was after 9pm. As if she was a Slavic military officer, she demanded a copy of my ID, stated “they” felt unsafe with me there and if I wasn’t gone in 15 minutes the cops would be called. I demanded to see her ID prior to giving her mine and she eventually did, which I was able to get a photo of. She continued to tell us to leave. But because I have a background in law enforcement, I called the cops myself. An officer came and was as if they had already met before. We showed the officer the toilet and long story short, the officer escorted Sylwia out. After the cop left, Sylwia came back in looking for some piece of paper she said - and then she left for the reminder of the night. We left the next morning but they fraudulently charged my card after all of that. I’ve since had to dispute all of their charges with my credit card company and that process is ongoing. This place is anything other than harmonious. It’s truly a nightmare that so happens to be situated on Harmony Drive. A true dive. A true hell hole that’s really really atrocious and not even in working order or clean.

The room reeked of pot and stale beef which was offensive as I am vegan. I had to get a bottle of water out of my car in the middle of the night and was met by Maude, the house manager, questioning what I was doing. When I said getting some water she acted like I should have just gotten the bacteria and herbicide laden “stream” water they have in jugs in the kitchen. Very weird and uncomfortable. This wasn’t the first off interaction. I hope there weren’t cameras in the bedrooms and shared bathroom. Also if you are going to lurk in shadows and startle guests when they couldn’t have possibly been any quieter, don’t make much more noise than they ever did in the first place - there are other guests in the house. I don’t know if she was looking for pot either, but to have an initial conversation where she brings up how much she enjoys it was also very odd. Just weird and highly offensive.

Set in the rural area near the mountains the scenery nothing short of divine! I stayed in the "Shaman's Cave" room, which was most adorable! I loved the decor and the vibes were brilliant! The bed is a little firm, but everything was clean and the host was very kind. There is a shared bathroom and kitchen so you dont have to eat out of you dont want to. It was a very welcoming environment. I felt so still and peaceful in the mountain air. I absolutely loved my stay at Harmony House!

Staying at Harmony House was great! I stayed in the "Zen Room" - I loved the decorations, awesome vibes! The room was private and quiet, and we had our own parking space, right in front of our door. Everything was clean and orderly, and the people were very nice and friendly. Also there is a nice hike and a little buddhist temple, just a 10 minute walk up the road, which was pretty cool.
