Damon was straight to the point the entire time in handling my paperwork. He replied to my emails quickly . Matt was also very helpful in returning questions I had as well. I highly recommend Duncan Law to anyone looking for help in with their Bankruptcy case. They are honest and always return emails and phone calls promptly.

Man how great have they been. I communicated most with Matt, and let me tell you he’s so patient. Any problems that arose in my bankruptcy case they had a way out of it . I really didn’t worry the whole process. Trust that they are worth double what they charge! And then some.

Questions & Answers

How much does it cost to file bankruptcy?

It's going to depend on the specifics of your situation and the type of bankruptcy you file. Naturally, if you have an incredibly complicated situation you will have to pay more for your bankruptcy. On the other hand, if your situation is pretty straightforward, you will pay less. That is why we offer a free consultation. You are able to come in and we can learn about your situation so we can charge a fair and reasonable price. I get it, if you had a lot of money you wouldn't be looking at a bankruptcy attorney to begin with.

Does my spouse have to file bankruptcy with me?

Duncan Law, LLP | Sep 19, 2021

No, not at all. Nobody can require your spouse to file bankruptcy with you. However, we may discuss that as an option and will advise you on what we think may be best but, of course, that decision is ultimately up to the two of you.

I know some law firms make it so you never actually see or talk to the attorney, how do you guys work?

We aren't that type of law firm. I believe this is one of the areas that really sets us a part. You are right, though, there are some law firms in the area where you never even see your attorney until you walk through the doors of "court." Not with us. You meet with me for your consultation, not a paralegal. You meet with me again to go over all of your final paperwork prior to filing a bankruptcy and I am the one who will attend your creditors' meeting or court with you. I'll be familiar with you and your situation before we ever go in front of a Trustee or Judge. You'll have my direct email address so you can reach out to me with questions. At the core of who we are, we are a family run law firm who tries to treat folks the way we would want to be treated. That means personal attention from me, your bankrupcy attorney.

Do I need to set up an appointment to come in?

We highly recommend you set up an appointment. This ensures I will be able to give you the time necessary to learn about your situation and answer the important questions you may have. This free consultation can be set up with a 10 minute phone call.
