Not very friendly at all when I called to inquire about going there to shoot or become a member. It was like they weren't really interested in new business.

You need a sponsor, an existing member willing to mentor you through the "probation" period, help you learn the safety "rules of the range", sign off on your having completed 3 shooting sessions over as many days.

What r the hours of operations on a Saturday? Is it really busy then?
