Great spot for a quicker gravel ride, 95% can be done with a cross bike. There are a few spots where the gravel and mud are bad enough to need a 40c tire for quicker, safer travel. Some nice things to see along the way. Once you hit the …

3 stars for the fact that the scenery is nice, I have an offroad place to bike, and I'm generous with my ratings. I would give 4 stars for just the section parallelling 10, but once the trail starts to parallell 23 and you're signifigantly past Stamford, the maintenance on this trail gradually decends to some of the worst maintenance I've ever seen. Ruts all over the place and sections that get less use (especially Grand Gorge to Roxbury) have tall grass as the surface. Railroad depots are both abandoned (even the one that's supposed to be open in Stamford), and the things for feedback are not in any of the things where they are supposed to be. This honestly feels like a rail-trail project that was abandoned at some point in the last decade. Hope someone looks at the Panhandle Trail in Pennsylvania for ideas of restoration of this trail.

This is the Catskill mtn scenic rail trail. Its is a great place to bike. Recommend hybrid or mtn bike as this trail is crushed stone, cinder, grassy in spots. Services are limited. It's beautiful area with many small bridges crossing the stream along the way.

Yes in my opinion as long as you have the fat tires. We road on the trail with ebikes from Stamford to Bloomville

How long is the trail?
