Grills are available by the playground area, you do need to reach out to North Charleston Parks to reserve the covered area for parties, but the grills may be first come first serve. Would verify with the city though.

I would not recommend STAYING in this area of town. The park is LOVELY, even in the evening, but it is in an area of town that is undergoing rejuvenation, and the park is a bit of an "island".

If you Google directions, they lead you to parking right across from where you walk in. I hope you have a good time.. I love Riverfront Park. I would wear tennis shoes and take a bottle of water because of the heat and humidity. Riverfront Park is a great place to take pictures and learn about the Naval fleet that was station in Charleston. I usually Drive from Rivers to McMillan to North Hobson to Everglades.

You would have to select your destination in order to call for an Uber or Lyft.

There is no swimming in the river. There is a fountain of sorts. The water shoots up for water fun near the dock.
