Sad and uplifting to see these amazing creatures being carefully cared for. Worth a visit. Check the website for items they need.

My aunt and I took care of a newborn sparrow for a week, feeding it around the clock and keeping it warm. He was doing well, starting to grow feathers and open his eyes. So well that the receptionist taking him even told me how active and healthy he looked. We weren't able to call and check on him for two weeks but when we did, they said he didn't make it through his first night there. He died of hypothermia. Sparrows can't regulate their body temperature until they are at least 10 days old. It's crazy to me that they didn't put him under an incubation light to keep him warm being only 7 or 8 days old. I will never bring another animal here again.

I found an injured groundhog and they got back to me right away and were able to help. The staff were very kind and helpful and the facility looks amazing.

Great Place if you have found a wild creature.

Yes but they only accept volunteers in the spring. They have two orientations that you can go to one in February and one in March.

No domestic animals. Only wildlife.

so my question is if they rescue animals such as birds in this place and if you're able to drop one off if you found one that's injured and needs help but you can't help them because you have no experience with birds at all .

Yes, they accept drop offs. Put the bird in a paper bag or box and head over.
