I know all these 5 stars reviews are fake this is the worst dmv ive ever dealt with in the 5 states i lived in

I bought a vehicle and my bank sent the info to the DMV to have the title transferred into my name so I could register it. For some reason the title didn't get updated and I was unable to register the car. The bank printed out the paperwork and a copy of the title showing what had happened. When I went to the DMV in north Augusta the cold soulless lady at the entrance counter nonchalantly flipped through my paperwork and said it wasn't their problem and there was nothing they could do. I went to the DMV in edgefield and they actually looked at my papers and saw the DMV had made a mistake and immediately began the process of rectifying the situation. It took a few trips to get it corrected at the edgefield DMV, but the bottom line is the lady at the entrance counter at the north Augusta DMV wouldn't give me the time of day to even attempt to address an error the establishment she represents made. She should be fired for her incompetence at the least. The 20 mile drive to edgefield is worth it compared to dealing with a woman that seems to hate her job as soon as you walk in the door in North Augusta.

Not a bad place. They were pretty quick? But make sure u read everything on the website or papers. Or you will go for nothing. If u changed ur name or got married multiple times definitely no matter how many time u been married make sure u have ur marriage licenses everyone of them. 25. 00 for a drivers license. Good luck!

When moving from another state are you currently required to take a vision test to get a SC license?

Just go to the DMV with your DD214 and fill out the application for the particular tag you want. You pay the fees and they order the tag. They will give you a temp. paper tag and your.perm tag will come in the mail It takes about 3-5 business days.
No
Yes
If i am homeless and i am living in sc what do i need to get a license or an id
Yes, you have to do it online. They should be taking walk-ins, too.
They do but they're $5
It is still going to come in the mail it just take some time it still shows in the system that you renew your registration
a utility bill at the current address
You can't bc the expired license has to be turned in so you have to be there
Not sure but I thing a year? I got my permit at 15 and license at 16.
Just go up there and tell them what I need you may have form to fill out and small fee to pay...they will meet u out front and ask what I need then bring whatever form u need then tell u which window to go to. Staff are very pleasant and helpful there..
Aiken or North Augusta don't know what they are talking about. So good luck and make appointment online@SCDMV/ APPOINTMENT
Bill of sale ,vaild id,and a form you will have to fill out with odometer reading. I think you can get on the web site scdmv.gov . Also property taxes must be paid. You can make an appointment on line garranties what tome you can be seen..
Appointments are much easier than waiting inside or out.girls and guys are great.
Website, if not give them a call
Was at the dmv friday they only do permits for kids on certain days I believe it might be mon and wed. But u have to have an appt. Go to NASCDMV.GOV AND MAKE AN APPT ON THAT SITE. HOPE IT ALL GOES WELL FOR U
Busy with clients that's why they added most things with the website for majority of answers
All you need is your registration, title and a death certificate. They should be able to take care of it. If the title is registered as spouse or you instead of spouse and you, then it needs to be taken to the probate judge and he will give you an extra paper to take.
Yes
That is usually up to the judge at magistrates court. It also depends on what you were pulled over for.
I think if you call them you can get the fax number
But have every document you have been given since birth. I've been there 5 times for only two things, mainly due to them always needing more than what's listed on the site.
You can do it online or bring some letter or bill with your name and new address on it
No it us not. Closed Thanksgiving and black Friday, but they are open Saturday.
Each office has a manager. If she cannot help she can give you the name of her manager
I believe you d8
I don't work there so I'm not sure but my advice is to do it as early as possible before instructors çatch an attitude
A birth certificate or passport and proof of residency
Call the DMV and they will beable to give you the information and the fees because ever case is different
No reinstatement has to be done in state of origin
No but if you have a South Carolina title you maybe entitled to still pay the property tax on the vehicle.
Yes
It depends on the vehicle. Cars are usually around $35. Trucks are more depending on how heavy it is. Unless you bought it from a dealer you also have to pay sales tax at the time of tag purchase
Yes I believe you do
I believe you do have to parallel park for the test
If reinstatement fees are not paid within 9 months of suspension date, written and driving test will have to be taken over.
Did you buy from a dealer or individual? A dealer will do all paperwork and obtain registration for you. If bought from an individual you will need a signed title transferring ownership. Best to bring drivers license and copy of insurance.
Yes you can
Free or no more than 5$ birth certificate proof of Address
I don't think so but you need to get it done before you do.
Am pretty sure all trailers need to be register
Technically only 14 business days but if she needs other documents like logged driving hours it might be a certain amount of months. If you go to scdmv.gov it will give you more detailed instructions and you can also schedule the driving test. I am in charge of a class a CDL driving program safety and compliance. I hope this helps.
The test is free.. the licenses is $25
Mon-fri
$6 and proof of residence
If you are under 65 and renew your license at an SCDMV branch, you will receive a ten-year driver's license for $25.
