Certainly not a good experience. The Mac and cheese taste like it's old and needs to be revamped. The tomatoes and okra not seasoned at all. The porkchops taste as if they were cooked and placed out all day. Pound cake taste old and crumpled.

I hate eating in restaurants where you dine in and are given to go Styrofoam plates. I don't eat on Styrofoam so I had to bring my food home. Now this being a soul food restaurant, I was expecting recipes like my grandma and momma made. Wrong!! Straight up box, bag or canned food. The gravy definitely wasn't home made, the candied yams tasted like can that they added little cinnamon and sugar to but still tasted like can. The smothered pork chop was a fried pork chop, too salty, that they dipped in gravy made from a bag. It was horrible. The field peas had a weird flavor and flat. The restaurant had an upscale feel to it when we walked in so I was expecting a great dining experience. I know the restaurant can't appeal to everyone's taste so I am only speaking of my experience. I traveled 25 miles to eat when I could have saved a lot of money and ate closer to home. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good down home country meal.

I would leave a review on the restaurant but signed said open at 11 and 1130 they were still locked doors. when asked will you open a very rude employee walked passed leaving me wondering would she come back with a answer . She did and said they will be open for brunch ooook so when will that be. I could see they were still sitting up 1130 but COMMUNCATION is the key. A sign on the door saying we running late something but not attitude. there is a sign saying excuse the mess and if the sign shows business hours you should assume customer are going off the business hours.. And owners your employees make your business if they have a attitude your business has a attitude. I took my money back home. I might try again later.... Good Luck Cousin!

Went for a brunch buffet, food was great, music was great, staff was awesome. I can't wait to go again.
