🤟🏽 We stayed here in December (for Christmas) and had a fantastic time! Totally off-grid and unplugged! A few "pro-tips" for winter visitors: Sledding in gear & water for a family of 5 is nothing to sneeze at, but if you pace yourself and have good helpers, it's surmountable. Winter parking is at the 'trailhead' parking lot to the northeast of the cabin. However, that parking lot was never plowed during numerous different snowfalls (5", 6", 8") while we were there over the course of five days, so we had to do a lot of shoveling on our own morning/evening to be able to come & go. Older photos show a cook top wood-fired range with oven(s), but that stove is no longer there. It's been replaced with a smaller, more conventional, flat topped wood stove with glass viewing window.

Great cabin with plenty of space! We went there in the February so there was PLENTY of snow. But the hike in was short and easy even with the snow and you still had a sense of isolation. There were a lot of snowmobilers enjoying the area …
