The Bead Lady is always welcoming and has so many unique jewelry pieces! I’ve started coming to her for some time now and I always find something beautiful to add to my handmade business! Thank you and will be coming back! :)

I have visited the Bead Lady a couple of times and have enjoyed each experience. The store is full of colorful beads to choose from. It's impossible to leave without feeling creative and inspired.

Not a good experience all the way around. 1. The owner literally approached me and told me all half strings were 50%off. So I added multiple half strings I would not have bought otherwise. My fault in that I’m usually very thorough in checking prices as things are being rung up however there was a festival going on outside and my husband had let me shop but was waiting patiently outside for me and I didn’t want to make him wait anymore so hurried out to him. Only later did I see she did not give me the sale price on any strands I had bought. There were EXPENSIVE! And I really didn’t appreciate being cheated. 2. The owner is also one of those people who asks you questions about yourself then as you answer literally looks away, talks to someone else and then completely walks away. Rude! And no I didn’t give some long winded answer. I was in the middle of my first sentence when she did it. So I shut my mouth and didn’t say another word. 3. Finally, the store is impossible to maneuver in. One long skinny isle where only one person can fit. And that is where the majority of her bead displays are. So I kept trying to look at items I wanted only to continually be interrupted by people needing to get by. Quite often they didn’t NEED to….it was instead just staff walking back and forth talking, and oblivious that they kept making shopping customers move out of their way. And it’s not like the store can’t be rearranged. She just doesn’t see a problem. I will never go back.

My Aunt found the headpiece that she, my Nana and my great grandmother wore in their weddings and gave it to me to see if I could do anything with it for my wedding. I brought it to Kathleen hoping something new could be made out of the beads and oh did she deliver!! Not only was she able to make a comb for me to wear in my hair but she was able to use the remaining beads to make nine small pins that my Aunts and cousins can wear too! I cannot express how thankful I am for her hard work and creativity! She showed so much interest in this project when I brought it to her and she was even able to tell me where the beads might have come from. Thank you Kathleen for making these beautiful hair pieces that can now stay in our family for many more years to come!

The Bead Lady does sell some premade pieces but the prices vary. Whether you buy a premade piece or the materials to make your own, it all depends on the complexity that you choose and the materials.
