We were at this building specifically for the history museum and were pleasant surprised to come across the library. Not sure how extensive or useful the collection is but the space is just beautiful beyond words. We spent some time walking around and taking pictures, which the staff were okay with as long as we're not getting in anyone's way. The staff are also very friendly, helpful, and engaging. We learned a good deal just by chatting with them.

The database/index for papers relating to guardians goes from 1699-1900, but probate records should be there for 1922. You'd look in the probate packets filed alphabetically in the town where he resided.
