This review is very specific to their new buying model (pre-order online and purchase at dealership) which they are doing more and more of (ID.4, BUZZ, etc) ----------------------------------------------------------- We ordered an ID.4 in the middle of 2021 which took 11 months to be delivered (covid, supply chain, etc). When we went in to purchase on a Friday the prices did not match what we ordered (they were higher). We asked for a breakdown on costs which they said they could not do (only had sticker from VW). We did find a charge for mud flaps which were not on the car and they removed that but the price was still higher. We asked if they could find out about the difference. This is when the manager came in and we were informed of 2 things: (1) They are not VW but just a reseller of products that are VW products. They don’t care about the VW experience but the sale of the product. (2) That if we did not complete our purchase by 4pm Monday they would sell the car to someone else (delivered pretty much as a threat). We were a little shocked by this customer service (or lack of) and asked if they had a contact with VW to check on the price issue. We explained how for 11 months we got emails from VW saying they would honor the price at time of purchase, etc. The manager’s response is that they are not VW and that the price issue is between us and VW. I had to search emails and forward them to the dealership. The dealership was of very little help. I did reach out to VW (chat on the id.4 site) and got in touch with the VW regional person. That person said they reached out to the dealership but was not getting any help either. Apparently there really is this gap between VW corporate and local dealerships. And there is this 3 day rule where as once the car rolls onto the lot if it is not purchased in 3 days they can resell it. Rather than focus on helping us, they were using that to threaten us. So apparently VW corporate takes your order and emails you while waiting and delivers the car to the dealership. The dealership may call or chat with you… and is supposed to complete the order in the end. Apparently, VW corporate and the dealership do not really communicate with each other besides delivery information. The dealership says they are not aware of what VW corporate sends to the customer. In this example you can see how it seemed like two parents in a bitter divorce (not talking to each other) and the customer is stuck in the middle in a horrible situation. I was in shock and we should have just walked away. If they can’t figure this out… then this will never work long term. One final note. The salespeople are great. They are super nice and friendly. However, the management seemed to care less. I assume this is just them playing good cop/bad cop. We will not be returning.

I was very satisfied with Nathaniel Robertson who was my sales representative. I was met each time with curve side service even on his scheduled off day, he came in to take care of me.
