Good for a late night meal if you're craving alot of junk food for a low price. The big double burger tray is their best value meal. Good pork bbq. The cheddar bites are always a good go to. Service can be slow but orders are typically accurate.

Normally, this is the one Cookout that is my go-to in the Hampton Roads area, however they really missed the mark today I understand with staffing shortages due to COVID, that wait times at drive-ins have increased, but if you’re not going to staff the second drive-thru line, MAYBE consider putting a sign up on the speaker or something saying the lane is CLOSED instead of having people/cars line up in the drive-through lane, wait 8 minutes during lunch time/rush hour, before they decide to pull off since nobody greeted them on the speaker. I decided to park and go inside to place my order, and the attendant for the second window decides to walk up right then telling the cashier there was no one waiting in the second drive-thru lane, while helping the car that was waiting behind me originally. The drive thru mic was low and could barely hear cashier. Got a chicken sandwich that looked like two small pieces were put together. I asked for seasoned fries for my two sides and it was one order. On top of that it looked like the seasoning was accidentally dumped on my fries but left there. The Cookout's in NC are better. First and last time coming to this one in Chesapeake.

Normally love this place, but the past couple times I’ve been, something has always been wrong. Either missing item, made incorrectly, or rung up wrong. They really should fix their microphone for ordering too… Went today 2/15 and two items made incorrectly. Everything was rung up right, but I had a bbq sandwich and a cheddar style burger made wrong. I had fries and cheese bites for dinner. It sucks because there is no system to where I can get something replaced or get refunded without having to drive back today, which I do not feel like doing. Even if we had noticed things were wrong before leaving, I would have had to go through the drive through again to get it fixed because they won’t open up the dining area (which I wish they’d do. It’s been two years. It’s time). I really wish the people making food would get their stuff together. I’m getting tired of food being made wrong every single time I go to this location. I also have been having issues with consistency on how much they give you for your sides in the trays. I normally order cheese bites. This time I got 5, other times I’ll get 10 (which is what I think I should be getting anyway). This is another issue this store needs to figure out.
