We have been with this company since Mark was about six. We received very personal service from his dad. Once Perry called us to say our 16 year old son was sitting in his office. Seems son had gotten his 1st speeding ticket and went straight to McGriff because he was afraid to tell us what happened. He begged Perry to be the one to tell us and Perry agreed. Ever fatherly, Perry began his call to relating stories about his boys and their own mischief. Of course we were upset about the ticket (which son did pay) but we loved the fact that he knew Perry McGriff would help out a client, even one who was 16. It is yet to determine if Mark will follow the family atmosphere on which his father built his business.

I was closing on a house on Tuesday 9am and got a phone call the Friday before letting me know they decided not to insure my home because of the roof. Even through we had several conversations about the roof and had proof that damages and replacements were covered by the HOA. This office had already written the insurance and sent it to the closing agent three weeks prior to this... I spent the rest of that Friday scrambling to get insurance. I also just experienced my first hit and run, leaving me needing a new door and quarter panel. Basically, even though I never get in accidents and have a solid driving record, all I gathered was that I am on the hook for something I did not do, and that if they pay out my insurance (which is already ridiculously high) that it will go up higher. So... what's the point of paying for the expensive insurance and being a safe driver? Seems like there is not one. The difference in the State Farm agents I had in Tennessee (10 years) and Georgia (4 years) versus here is quite noticeable. Expensive insurance that does about nothing. The reason I gave 2/5 instead of 1/5---they did undo the ridiculous amount of damage that another agent (Ruz Ogra) did. It took 4 months to sort that out, which I appreciate.

Got a notice policy will be cancelled, no representative I called was able to locate a reason as to why. . Had to figure out and place the calls directly with corporate myself, wasted my time, went to GEICO for better service and price, never looked back.
