Place is dirty. Dirty floor, dirty bathroom, dirty countertop. Used to go here when it was actually on Second Ave. Was cleaner then. Probably the owner, manager spends too much time at the uptown branch.

My mouth wasn’t big enough. Note to self: stick with the classic corned beef and pastrami - nothing else ever fills that void.

Questions & Answers
Quick question: the place has kosher certification but is open on Saturdays. Anyone know how that works?
Yes, kosher fleysh. Because of that, I would not order anything typically dairy i.e. Their borscht is okay but uses parve sour cream. Now corned beef and pastrami -- to die for. Mushroom barley is easy best I've ever had: 3 kinds of mushrooms. Stuffed cabbage -- slav heaven. The list goes on and on. Also, because it's kosher you are paying for the mashgiach and prices are higher.
