After taking a visit to the Social Security office, I was told that I needed to get a letter signed by a judge to solve my problem. Did a search for a lawyer that could help me out and the Botelho firm popped up. Made an appointment and Joe Botelho solved my problem. I could apply to Social Security online and resolve my problem without having to go to a judge. Thanks Joe!!!

How can I stop a foreclosure with bankruptcy question

Chapter 13 bankruptcy is an incredible tool for saving your home from foreclosure. Using chapter 13 bankruptcy you can stop a foreclosure sale, if you file prior to the sale happening, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy will give you 3 to 5 years to pay back your past due balance, while at the same time forcing the banks to take your monthly payment, if they head stop doing so. You can also use chapter 7 bankruptcy to stop a foreclosure sale, but if you are behind in your mortgage payments, you will lose your house, unless you convert your Chapter 7 bankruptcy to a chapter 13 bankruptcy.

How do I get US Citizenship with a Green Card?

Once you obtain your green card, you will be on a two-year probationary period. After the end of this two-year period, you must file the USCIS Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. When to have remove these conditions, you will now have a permanent Green Card, which must be renewed every 10 years. This can be done, with no issues, as long as you have not committed any crimes of moral turpitude. Depending if you obtained your green card through marriage or through another method, will determine how fast you can obtain your citizenship. If you obtained your green card through marriage, then after three years you made you file your application for citizenship, USCIS N-400. If you did not obtain your green card through marriage, you must wait five years before filing your application for citizenship.

When Is the Best Time to File Bankruptcy?

Now that you've determined that you need to file bankruptcy, your next question is when is the best time to file bankruptcy. This is both a short-term question and a long-term question. The short-term question depends on what time of the year, generally you want to be careful not to file bankruptcy when you're going to receive a sizable tax refund. Usually I recommend my clients get their tax refund, use the money to pay for their bankruptcy filing and to make any required repairs to their home or automobile. Now for the long term question. This was the simple one to answer, do it as soon as possible. If you're in a situation where you're making minimum monthly payments on your credit card or other bills, and you know you're going to eventually have to file bankruptcy, filing sooner is better than later. The reason is very simple, every dollar that you spend towards the debt that you in the future will be discharging to bankruptcy, is a dollar reform right out the window.
