Holiday Inn Express Worcester Downtown, an IHG Hotel

We have an account with IHG but this was the worst holiday inn express we stayed in. AC didn’t work and we needed it on just for air flow. It sounded like a Diesel engine running next to our bed. Everything in hotel is dated and needs renovations. Very poorly run. We are with a local tour group for this so just as disappointed with their tour planner for not reading reviews and vetting place. Sad thing is we have to stay here on trip home. Stay away from this poorly run hotel. Others in our party had similar bad experiences with their rooms

This place is outdated. Many items not maintained. Air conditioning in our first room didn't work with temperatures around 95 degrees and second room lowest temperature we could get was 78. Loose toilet set to towel holders. Check in stave very friendly and addressed our first room immediately. Unfortunately the individual in charge of the continental breakfast was very unprofessional by playing here cell phone radio full blast 2 feet away from our door at 5am and blamed the Hotel for having rooms close to where she worked. Will not ever stay here again.

Positive: It has a pretty central location to downtown Worcester. There is free parking and free wifi. There is a free breakfast with mostly animal products. Negative: This hotel is in major need of an upgrade! It is not up to date in terms of paint, heating/cooling, doors etc. it looked shabby, especially in the bathroom.

Disgusting. The “clean promise” on their web site is a joke. My room smells like filthy underwear. Bed linen smells bad. Bathroom is gross. This is so shameful to Holy Cross Families here to celebrate graduation. We will be letting the Holy Cross Community know to not recommend this place to families any more. Three day stay cost over $750. Air in bedroom stank and a/c did not work. Surfaces in bedroom and bathriom were grimy.
