Super foggy day.....mostly. the hike from US 101 was such an amazing hike. Not terribly challenging and INCREDIBLE views. Well maintained walkways, and slick spots have had straw added to help a bit. A lot of pop-out trails to take pictures or to just take in the majestic views. The Lighthouse was a great landing spot to get ready for the hike back. We milled around for about an hour and we are glad we did, the fog lifted. Definitely worth a bit of your day.

Access/turn to the lighthouse parking area while heading south on 101 can get confusing. Google maps did not get this one correct however after you park and start hiking it’s wonderful. Elevated trail, takes about 30-45mins depending on speed and number of stops one makes to enjoy the ocean views that change at every turn. Highly recommend walking up to then lighthouse. On your way up you get to see the lighthouse keeper’s house and read interesting historical facts about the lighthouse and it’s surrounding area. Great place to enjoy ocean view, observe birds and also discover different kinds of flora.

Wonderful trail above the light house. About 11/2 miles long. Well worth the hike. Beautiful scenery along the way.
