It is a beautiful well- manicured place place, no doubt. Not the most friendly place and the air felt snobbish somehow with well dressed all white people, either staff or associated with the place, walking around ignoring the visitors. The place has a lot of valuable art, none of which are marked with names or dates...you had to rely on the guide who was good. It smelled like new money trying to get status with things, purchasing art made else where than US. It did not feel like a collection of passion for art. Well known Monet and Degas's paintings are there. You cannot take pictures inside.

Cannot take interior photos. Fascinating that he recognized masterpieces and purchased art from artists in the 1880s. Really special destination. Highly recommend.

Was going to tour,, but they are still adamant that one must be fully masked, regardless of vaccination status. So passing on by. In the dark ages here, unlike rest of the country.

Beautiful grounds, gift shop had very reasonable and cute stuff. Not busy for a nice Saturday either.

Yes.
No, the tour is manageable and there is a nice side porch to sit and rest.
They're guided tours every hour, for an hour long.
The museum does host many events throughout the year if you check out their website. They can also host private functions and weddings.
This can vary from year to year since CT weather is so unpredictable. There probably isn't much right now. I would call
