You know, I have been a customer for a decade with a line of credit. Yesterday I went in and purchased a mattress. First, No one came over to help. I spend half an hour alone in the mattress showroom and picked out my own mattress. I finally found a salesman who rang me up. I told him I pay on payments. He said nothing about changes to your policy. I go up to complete the paperwork and I’m told I can no longer pay in 60 months but only 18. Your employees gave no warning or info on payments. There is a big sign in the mattress area with 60 payments in bold red print. But you use bait and switch now when you pay. Doesn’t matter that I’m a good customer who has never missed a payment. Tough, get a more expensive mattress. One fifteen minute conversation changed my my entire outlook on value city. A decade of feeling that you were honest and upfront is gone. You don’t change policies on good customers who keep coming back. I’m not sure I can ever come back. You need to know for other customers that when we are loyal and get screwed we don’t just get over it. I’m stunned how indifferent the staff is to how changes affect customers and how cruel value city is as a company.

Everyone in the Bayonne store, from the salesperson to the office staff were courteous, patient and pleasant. This would be my third purchase from Value City in Bayonne and I've never been disappointed in the service I received.

I would give it a zero but there is none, I bought a dining room set and they all arrived scratched, I sent photos of the damage and they told me that they would change it for another new set and then after a month they told me that they would only change me the table and that they were going to send a person to my house to inspect the chairs, when the “technician” arrived he came with a thick marker to paint the chairs and that was not what they told me they were going to do. I have spoken with some managers and to this day, which has been six months already, they have not made the change, nor have they solved the problem, they are throwing the ball back and forth. I am very angry and I will never buy anything there again, they are scammers.
