What a lovely evening. Boxed meal and a terrific speaker. This is a Columbus event not to be missed. Check it out, as there are several more this summer.

An interesting museum in the house that James Thurber lived in and wrote about. Thurber was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He became a writer and cartoonist. He spent much of his career writing and drawing for the "New Yorker" magazine. The house is furnished much as it was in 1917.

Do they allow video recording? I want to go for my B-day and record videos. How is the surrounding neighborhood? Just want safe neighborhood with the kids, due to some haunted places being in unsafe areas. Thank you

Videos are permitted inside during museum hours as long as they are not disruptive. The Jefferson Avenue block is a safe neighborhood for Thurber House museum visitors.
