The perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day in Saratoga Springs. The bright colors, friendly staff and the water make this a perfect place. You can stand up board or kayak for like 20-30 bucks for the day I forget the amount. You sign a waiver and just need to keep the life jacket on the board/kayak. You can journey in two different directions for miles. I never go too far, it’s such a relaxing thing to just lounge. There’s a pizza place on the premise but it’s not always opened check the hours before hand.

Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and good prices. You can go quite far out on the lake to enjoy some beautiful views. They provide a kayak, life vest and paddle, but they also offer other options like paddleboards and this hammock/boat hybrid for a group.

Can't say enough about this spot. There isn't a better way to spend 3 hours and $25. On any sunny day than to go here. Quick, easy and very friendly staff. All of thier equipment was in great shape. Plenty of parking.. GO HERE!

Is it a calm lake you kayak on?

Barbara Belmont | Sep 19, 2018
Pam L | Sep 19, 2018

The lake (to the left) gets really busy with boat traffic, so I wouldn't recommend trying the Lake. However, Fish Creek (to the right) is a calmer paddle. It has a little current so the paddle may be a little easier going out than coming back.

There is ....you can pretty much pull up anywhere thats not private property.....there are public places like "Front Street Park"... I would google parks or swimming holes on Saratoga lake.

Casey Mackesey | Sep 18, 2020

Every time I've gone I've worn shoes just to walk up to check in, but once I'm on the grass I take my shoes off. Also, I've seen the people that work there walk around barefoot

I'm an experienced kayaker, and I would like to rent at least one kayak in order to take someone with me who is new to the sport. My question is twofold: Is this a body of water that is appropriate for a beginner? And may I use my own kayak and gear?

Mark Wagoner | Sep 19, 2018
Kelle Bellinger | Sep 19, 2018

The creek to the right when u put in is perfect for beginners....Saratoga Lake is to the left and if you get out into the lake it can get choppy at times and has more boat traffic.
