We had an amazing experience with Meyer Hatchery! We ordered our four girls and we got an immediate confirmation with the expected shipping date. The date got postponed one week due to the chicks not hatching on time, they resent a date of expected shipping and more information on our order. The chicks arrived at our local post office within 48 hours of them being shipped. This was our first time ordering birds so we were nervous about them arriving healthy and alive. Well, we shouldn't have worried. The chicks were peeping and scurrying around the box on the way home. When we unboxed them they were a little bit chilly and scared but we put them in their brooder and within 5 minutes they were asleep. When they did wake up they were vibrant and healthy. We are currently at the 2 week mark and they are doing amazing! We are very happy with our experience at Meyer Hatchery!

I’ve ordered from Meyers two years now and each time they have had such great open communication and even give solutions/trouble shooting if needed. I recommend this hatchery to all of my chicken hobby friends. And I plan on ordering from them every year!

This was our first time ordering chicks and it was a great experience. We were able to pick our hatch date and they were born and shipped to us by the next day. The chicks are all healthy and so cute! I would recommend Meyer Hatchery to anyone looking to order chicks 👍🏼

All chicks came super healthy and happy! Started eating right away and drinking! Only had a few with some pasty butt was able to clean it up! Will see how the rest of the week goes but super happy with Meyer Hatchery. This was the first time ordering chicks in the mail and they came so nicely packed with a very nice heat pack!Peter, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so happy to hear you are pleased with your new peeps. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to be of assistance!

You can raise any together but I've found once they're older it can be difficult to introduce more later
Ethan we are not able to ship to Canada, only the US. Sorry!
Did you call them and ask?
They have live chat on their website too, try that.
Layers just starting..Easter chickens, coocoo marans and exchecer leghorns
I haven’t introduced a rooster in a while but when I introduced him to the rest of them I put him in a crate and left him out there for about an hour or so I then I put him in a section of my field that was fenced off from the others for a day then let him out with the rest of them and everything went great
Our shipping and pickup minimum is 3 chicks.
Feel free to chat in on our website, and they can check the status of your order. Thanks!
Yes, we have them available to order and ship to you!
Hello Kayla, Our minimum to order is 3. Thank you for your interest!
I live in a small country town. And i have to pick up they call and are nice but pick up is what they ask for. Ill be honest though I've only had dead birds that way if i go get them they all make it safe. They pack them in a small box with no food or water so they go without untill u get them home
Hatching eggs can be found at this link, we do not offer golden buff eggs, but we do have Rhode Island Red eggs. https://www.meyerhatchery.com/Hatching-Eggs-c39792169
Hello Leslie, we have a few Golden Buff started pullets available for November: https://www.meyerhatchery.com/productinfo.a5w?prodID=SPGF
Golden buffs are very friendly and great layers.
First I have a question. What kind of chicks. Meat bird or layers or pets. If meatbird they should have been off medicated feed after week 2 and put on meatbird feed. If layers take them off chick feed and put them on layer feed. If you have feed on hand then blend it in with the layer until gone but do not buy any more. That also goes for the pet ones.
They only ship to the USA
You can place an order online anytime. Check the availability section on the website. You sometimes have to place your order several weeks in advance.
Vaccination is an add on service and it depends on the member!
Depends on the amount of chicks and so on.
They can ship within the continental US
Can you post pics? It's hard to judge what is wrong, without seeing. In the mean time, if your coop is as wet as mine, check the bottom of her feet for bumblefoot aka staphylococcus infection.
When to repeat treatment. If you are worming as part of a prevention routine, most poultry keepers worm at least every 3-6 months with Flubenvet. As a minimum, in the spring before the breeding season, as the temperature rises and worm eggs become infective and again at the end of summer as egg numbers decline. From Google I usually worm every 3 months apple cider vinegar works well
You must be 16 years of age to be eligable for employment.
Only in the United States, and some US territories.
You can get one at the store there, order a free catalog by calling them or request one on their website
Call and ask, they really are helpful.
meyerhatchery.com will give you all of the answers
I agree 100% i bought several hens. All healthy and very happy. Excellent place to do business.
You pick up at post office . Post office will call you when they arrive.
They can live 10-12 years if properly cared for.
Mr. Bonemouth, sorry to hear that you had trouble when trying to place an order. We do have several ways for you to check dates on the website. Under shop > chickens, you can shop by date. On each breed, there is an availability tab as well. We do have very limited availability on the Black Copper Marans. I would suggest ordering them separate or selecting an alternative Marans or other dark egg layer such as a Welsummer or Barnevelder.
Shipping
We do offer a vaccination for marek's on our standard size chickens at an additional request and cost.
Will have to watch to know which one. I would separate that one from the eggs.
