I am livid with this home depot location and today's experience will most likely keep me from shopping at this or any other home depot stores in the future. I had purchased a few small items : PVC pipe and a couple connector pieces and 1 can of spray paint. All of my items fit into a bag. As I was leaving the store I was asked to show my receipt as I have been in the past, to which I declined. The woman went and found the police officer outside and told him that I refused to show my receipt for my now purchased property! I am not mandated by law nor is there a sign in store stating that I had to show my receipt and then the contents of my bag to anyone. I felt as though I was being treated like a criminal. If there is a high theft problem with this specific store or the entire chain then that is something they need to get a handle on a different way BUT to make a person who clearly paid for their items stop is uncalled for. I will NEVER shop with you all again. I will go out of my way to LOWES to get what I need. Yes, I could have showed her but they are my things after I pay and I don't have to. The cop BTW didn't want to see my receipt because all my items were in a bag!.
