Hello Rodney, we do distribute Ashes both in the church and outside the church. We had morning prayer with imposition of Ashes this morning at 8:00 am. Then we were imposing Ashes in the corner of West 11th and Waverly Place for two more hours until 10 am. We will have a Solemn Eucharist with imposition of Ashes at 7:30pm. You're welcome to participate! Indeed all are!
Hello Rodney, we apologize. Apparently somebody unchecked the "religious festivities" from our google calendar, that's why Ash Wednesday is not referenced. As for Valentine's, that's a civil holiday (in the same category as mothers day, for example) nit a religious one. The church actually remembers today Saints Cirilus and Methodius. We have the Ash Wednesday Holy Eucharist with imposition of ashes at 6:30, btw.
