After giving up finding passport application appointments for my kids in NYC, because of nasty post office employees, this was a refreshing surprise. I easily found an appointment, they treated my kids so nicely giving the honorary county clerk seals, and dealt with us with a smile and expediency. I will be returning here despite living 50 minutes away.

I was in from out of town and had to record some documents and Joyce, Angie and Ann Marie all went out of there way to get me in, record the documents and issue certified copies within an hour! I really appreciate the extra effort made by this office and it was refreshing to see stellar customer service still exists. Thank you!!

Yikes not much help or decency. A woman over the phone put me on hold twice without warning while I was asking about a certificate I needed. She was very curt in telling me they don’t have it and she doesn’t see why I would need that (maybe if you didn’t put me on hold while I was explaining you’d know 🤓) and proceeded to hang up on me. I hope her day gets better.

Went to Putnam County clerks office on August 21,2019. I had to file a series of documents but wasn’t sure of the process. I was sent to as I recall room 102? The lady behind the counter was named Joyce, who was extremely helpful,courteous and answered every one of my questions. I even had to call her later with a follow up question. Again she was gracious and helpful.

If your home purchase was prior to 1968 it is at the Clerks office and you must go there by scheduling an appointment online. If after 1968, you will be able to search on County Clerk's website as a visitor on there search engine under your name. Dowmload of an unofficial copy for free or an offical copy for 5 dollars.

You would need to draft a new deed and fill out the necessary tax forms. You may then present for recording
If you come to our office with id we can get you a copy
We do process passport applications Monday through Friday during our normal business hours
The passport fee must be a check or money order but the execution fee can be cash check credit or debit
