The store itself is a department store with a focus on clothing and a few other novelty items. The prices are high for the most part and the lure is the coupons that are provided on a regular basis along with Kohl's cash earned. The coupons are highly restricted and many brands are excluded (in the fine print). I ended up bringing a few name brand clothing items to the checkout and after waiting in a long line, I was told that they did not apply. I wanted the items so I decided it was not worth the hassle to put them back and not buy them. I suspect this is part of the business model. The Kohl's cash however I was able to use on anything in the store. Overall the checkout line is fairly well organized but the model of high prices and using coupons to make you feel like you are getting a deal is not super appealing to me. The store to me is on the darker/gloomier side as it is not lit very well and has an older department store feel to it. It might be for me for certain items and the quality of the items purchased was decent but I think you really need to know all of the "gotchas" and how to shop the store to really get a good deal.
