A patient should not have to call the hospital and be transferred to the nurses station from her personal cell phone to get a nurse. She was parked in a room, no blanket, no nothing and just left there. I'd speak with her on the phone at 9pm at night, she was doing good, next day she was on a ventilator. This happened three times until I was told she was being taken off the ventilator to die. Had that been my family member I would have gotten an attorney and contacted authorities to a investigate, she got terrible care. Was told she had a mass in her lung, then didn't. Sent home without the drain for her lung. I would NEVER agree to be taken to this hospital.

OK experience - communication could have been better but good overall nursing care.

The ER (non-emergency as an ambulance wasn’t necessary) moved me to a room 13 1/2 hours after I arrived. I had a kidney stone to large too pass. The ER staff must be understaffed to take that long. During my stay in the hospital, I had 3 procedures. The operating nurses were horrible (first procedure). Prior to one of my procedures, I was in horrific pain, and the nurse wasn’t concerned at all—she didn’t give me something for pain until I signed all the paperwork. THAT SHOULD NOT BE DONE IN THE OPERATING ROOM. She was the most insensitive nurse of my many many times in O.R. (8times). She was referred to as Nurse O, I think, not sure. Also, the other people in the O.R. were not very professional—it was a very bad experience. My experience with the floor nurses and CNA’s was very good for most part—especially Nurse Bruce and Nurse Ruth, they were awesome. There was a third nurse, cannot remember her name, she was very good. The doctors were okay, but, they didn’t talked to my son after the procedure as requested. Dr Gordon did come into my room several times and talked with me. She also talked with my son (not immediately after my 1st procedure though), but the other one didn’t ever talk with my son or me—he was an Asian doctor. He had no bedside manners. Lastly, the food was much better as I had a prior stay at this hospital & food was healthy, but no taste. It has improved vastly. Overall, this hospital has potential to be really good because their floor staff, nurses (excluding ER personnel), and CNA’s are nice people. Oh, my last procedure, outpatient, was a very good experience, other than waiting so long due to a new computer system. Dr Gordon (very nice) & nurse named Cathy, I think, she was super in performing my lipothrinsy procedure. In closing, I take my comments very seriously. My comments are to be helpful for the future of the hospital and future patients. Overall, this hospital has great potential due to it has lots of nice people employed (excluding my experience with O.R. during my first procedure).

I wouldn't go here if I were you...staff doesn't know what they're doing half the time.
