I checked the updated Thruway information and all of the eateries were supposed to be open till 9 PM. The Deli located in the convenient store was the only thing besides McDonald’s that was open. However, A sign promised they made sandwiches fresh all day, so we went in to find one room temperature roast beef sub. We asked the young man behind the counter if he was making sandwiches and he said no. When we said there was only one he goes yeah we sold out and some lady called in sick today so we didn’t have enough people. Needless to say the line at McDonald’s was prohibitive since it was the only food place available and they had closed the drive-through. All I can say is welcome to New York where the people and the businesses are so welcoming.

The rest rooms needed attention, but there was toilet paper and soap and a few clean stalls. Would be nice if people cleaned up after themselves. I was there after 10;30 pm. It is usually cleaner, perhaps no attendants at that hour.

A very distinctive and nice rest stop. While it has a McDonalds, the majority of the food options are non-chain individual stores with a very wide selection and good prices. It has substantial seating room both indoors and outdoors and a least during our visit a small outdoor farmers market. Reminds me of a cross between small town festival and mainstreet.

Nice rest area. They have outside vendors when the weather is good. They have a few fast-food places and a store. Restrooms could have used some cleaning, but they did appear to be short-staffed. All in all a good place to stop.
