Do not use these people. My house burning down was bad enough, but they turned the wonderful experience of building a new home into a nightmare. Rob and angela are all about the money. Delay delay and more delays and more charges. I felt like I was being held hostage. The house was set on May 10th. you get 6 month warranty from the manufacturer, makovic came back in August to start doing the site work that I paid for. They put up my house and forgot to put the sealing material between the boxes. It needed to be air tested 4 times. I got my CO in December. the warranty had expired. I know Rob left but--all business ethics come from the top -- John makovic. - And this all way before covid..... - find another builder. Ps alot of the reviews with 5 stars are Friends of owner and have not had anything built by company Lol

It is now July 2021, we have received a Court Judgement for $34,247.66 and are seeking criminal charges for the outright theft of our money. It’s Mid-September 2020, they took a $34,000 deposit in July on a house that Was a year late already. They used Covid as an excuse. John Makovic, the owner, has simply gone silent and disappeared. They really appear to be nice, competent people, but nothing gets accomplished. All we really know for sure is, they cashed the check. BEWARE!

Called to make an appointment and was asked if I owned property yet, when I said no, the women nastily stated that she can't take appointments for several weeks, didn't offer to make one, never called me back. Very rude. Won't even entertain doing business with them. - In response to your response 1. You could have said any of these things on the phone, you didn't 2. Yes, you emailed me information which was incomplete, I emailed you back and received no response 3. I feel your practices are unprofessional and your reasoning inadequate. We are first time home buyers and would expect someone willing to build for us to help us navigate the process. Without speaking to you, how are we to know which type of house you offer that will fit into our budget? We have EXCELLENT credit, so a loan is not an issue. We have several property options but needed some guidance on how the process worked and what our next steps were. Any reason you give is inadequate for how I was treated on the phone, the lack of response to my email and the absolute disregard for a first time home buyer unsure of the process.

I have used them for 3 customer homes I handle and they have been very good to work with. I work with several builders which is why I know which are good and which are not. I would ask the people who are so fast to comment like "Professionals" these questions: how many homes have you built? Did you pay a fair market price or were you beating the builder down for the lowest possible price and expect same service as a fair paying customer. I believe the saying for this is champagne taste with beer pockets. The final question is Where is there a better option? The truth is this is the only builder that I know of such a size that will actually get the job done. There is no longer a choice of builders. There isn't a workforce. This is why I choose Makovic Homes for my customers and will continue to do so. The build 100 homes a year on average. A handful of unhappy inexperienced irrational customers in a 20 year old company is practically a 99.9% satisfaction rate. I will use them again.
