Yes, offer a full assortment of mattress, boxsprings and adjustable lifestyle bases.
They have ones with physical knobs and some of them most likely do not have digital lights. If you find your dream wash/dryer you can always cover them over with electrical tape. I have to assume somewhere they have models for the visually impaired that talk instead of lighting up. I do note the Kenmore 700 series has leds but they are tasteful and don't let out a lot light other than to inform of the machines status.

If it died that soon it should be under the manufacturers warranty. At least most of the time if its going to die it give you a warning and in within 3 days sears is out to fix or replace an item.
