Always a fun spot to visit. Do NOT go barefoot. You have to trek through some murky water

Very cool. Few clues lead you to figure out the entrance and find the trail. Awesome day.

History in our back yard. A great afternoon stroll.

Have visited multiple times. This is the site of an ancient, native city, the capital of the Calusa tribe. Mounds and canals built by indigenous people before Europeans arrived are visible. For me, this island has more magic than any other place in Lee County (and there is a lot of magic in Lee County).

I agree with Hector, the entrances on both sides of the island mention digging is prohibited and you cannot remove any artifacts
Try Mullock Creek Marina. Give them a call.
