So mom and dad could stay together with different levels of care

My uncle is there and has been for 4 years. When he first got there he was in independent living. What a great place it was. Food was excellent ( even the firemen would come to eat on sundays),m. They had activities. The went out all the time in the van. Than they sold it and it got a little worse, and, of course Covid restictions kept everyone inside and families out. Seemed a convenient time to change the services from food to activities(for the worst. He than went to assisted living. The assistance in assisted living is non existent. So much so my cousin had to hire full time companions. Than the facility was sold again by the current owners. My uncle was than moved to memory care. He still has full time, private hire, companions. And if it were possible the care and service is worse. The workers are hired by temp agencies, the director is new, the head of nursing is new( and not big on communication)Seems they have a problem with keeping not only employees but also management. Guess heads roll when the state comes ans does abuse investigations. In conclusion, I implore to please take the time for your elder in selecting a caring facility so they can leave this world with dignity and an empty diaper. I would expect this, sadly, from a government run facility, to pay this amount of money, that I’m sure was EARNED, to give it to a facility that has 0 idea of that concept is a shame. Inhumane treatment. Substandard food. Incompetent employees interesting enough my cousins review has been removed, which is scary

Our family appreciates the care and love that the staff give. There have been many changes over the past few months, which made my Dad a little nervous. The changes made have all been for the better and my Dad is happier than ever. I am so happy he is there. The director will stop what he is doing anytime we need something, the care staff now seem to be happy, the food is amazing. We appreciate every day that our Dad is taken care of with such compassion and caring. I am also a business owner and know the difficulty to find people to work, but to have these young people working and see the same faces day after day is truly a blessing.

Main reason is that entertainment has been cut by half and that leaves a lot of residents staying in their apartments.
