Went on a Sunday to use their outdoor pool. They had 4 lanes for lap swimming and general area. It was nice. Lots of chairs to lounge on and a mixed crowd of families, young adults, and teens. Only suggestion: if there could be a swimsuit spinner in the locker room. I couldn’t see one readily available.

DC parks Rock! Sadly the beautiful pool is only open on weekends until the end of June, but it's a great park. Playgrounds for different age groups. Basketball. Big grassy field. Nicely maintained.

No, just outside.
They open tomorrow at 11. If I were you, given that you are so close, I'd run by and ask at the front desk to see what the policy is. You'll definitely need someone's resident id. Sometimes they don't pick up the phone....also, rather than pack up the kidsand get rejected at the door. In your favor, it's mid-week so it won't be crowded. It's also supposed to rain.
