Questions & Answers

I may be buying a 1989 mobile home whose tie down straps are rusted and broken. The home is sided. Is this a expensive repair? Also the moisture barrier underneath is compromised. Should the whole barrier be replaced?

Hello Bob! You would speak to contractor to get your answers to your questions. We would not know the expense amount or the severity to have all replaced. Unfortunately, insurance would not cover any wear and tear to the home. Depending on what caused it. Thank you!

Is there some sort of limitation of liability in Florida? One of this agency's reps told my sister-in-law (that lives in FL) that she didn't need any more than 300,000? Don't you have to protect your assets?

Hello Paula! Yes, you want to protect your assets. $300,000 might be the maximum limits to a home policy. Anything over that can be insured in what's called a Personal Umbrella Policy (PUP) up to $5,000,000. You can speak to one of our agents to get a quote and see eligibility. Thank you!
