I've adopted from Pawsafe twice now and have been extremely satisfied with both experiences. We were approved quickly and able to schedule a meet and greet within a couple of days. When we arrived the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The kennels were clean and the dogs all appeared very happy. Great rescue, we will certainly be adopting through again if we ever want to add another fur baby to our family.

She said it isn't always like that with some …Thank you for your positive comments. I just want to be very clear, so that people are not confused, that the dogs do not come off the truck and go home. We do participate in puppy/dog relocation with a private transporter. 99% of our dogs that come from out of state come on a transport that has only our dogs on board from the shelter we work with in Mississippi. Once they arrive, they stay at our shelter and our foster homes. All see our vet for a pre-adoption exam and spay/neuter if old enough. You are absolutely correct in that we do not hold dogs and it is a first come first serve type of adoption situation. We have been nonprofit since 1991 and experience has shown that most people who come to the shelter to meet one dog that they think they want to meet, then want to meet others and normally do not adopt the one they thought they wanted. So rather than tell people they have to adopt the dog that they think they want and not allow them to see others, we have made our policy that they come to see all and work with Volunteer to find the right match.
