The social workers here and supervisor Ms. Brooks are definitely on a power trip. They are not doing this job for the people, rather for the control they have over peoples files, who are in need. If you can avoid looking for help here, I would. They tell you all what they “can’t/won’t do” rather than being a solution to the problem. & remember God has the last say no matter what stress these people put you through. The good ones never tell you “I’m trying to help you” (Fredericksburg dhs favorite thing to say) Good ones actually do help.

Seems like no one has any urgency here. If you need emergency assistance I would recommend looking into a different assistance program. They will take their time and leave you with no services for days when it’s 40° overnight. Made no difference that there’s children in the house either.

If you call they will give you the information about rental assistance and also call 211. Call the local housing authority.
