I came in around 11pm for something trivial, but was treated with care by everyone I saw! The service was quick and everyone was professional and honest.

If I could give no stars here I would. We took our 12-year-old dog here knowing it was probable that we would have to put her to sleep. It was a weekend, so this was not our normal vet office. Unfortunately, we were correct and did have to put her to sleep that day. We requested a private cremation for many reasons and even went as far as explaining to the vet and staff our plans for her ashes. We paid for this additional service, and we were told in 2 weeks we would have her remains. Two weeks came and I hadn't heard from them about picking up the ashes. I called in to ask and immediately knew something was wrong. They were being very vague and kept putting me on hold to finally say the manager wasn't here and they would call me tomorrow. Come to find out, they put the wrong "tag" on her, and she was cremated in a "group" and her ashes were supposedly spread in a field. We were gutted. They were indifferent and had an attitude like, "Oh well, mistakes happen." To make matters worse I requested her medical records because now I was questioning everything. As I started reading them the inaccuracies were everywhere. All of the notes they wrote were wrong and it made me feel like either they don't listen or pay attention...or care. Nothing made sense. People bring their pets here because they are parts of your family. My husband and I had her for the entirety of our relationship. To be just told, "Whoops" was beyond upsetting. The way they handled everything was horrible and insensitive. They wouldn't answer our calls or emails. The worst service I have ever experienced. How can you trust someone with your pet if they cannot even put the correct tag on an animal.

BEWARE!!!!! Showed up to an BLUE PEARL EMERGENCY PET HOSPITAL SOUTHSIDE that says outside 24/7 only to walk in with my very sick dog and be told, “Sorry, we don’t have a Vet at this location.” Why the heck are you even open then??? What can a person at the front desk telling people that their pet (in an emergency situation) can’t be helped possibly do??? If my dog does not make it because your location didn’t have a vet I can promise you that you will be hearing from me again. Otherwise, we would NEVER trust YOU or your location for any reason ever again. Imagine walking into a hospital and having them tell you, “Sorry, we don’t have any doctors at this location.” Your 3 star review should have been a sign, but I thought maybe all of the people that had good experiences didn’t provide reviews. And in an emergency you have to take a chance - WRONG!! Go somewhere else. At least they’ll have a vet.

I gave 3 stars because the staff here are so nice and will do whatever they can to help but I have tried to bring animals twice now and both times I was quoted a 3+ hour wait with the explanation that they don't have enough staff. Meanwhile, my kitten lay dying in a carrier. It took an hour before someone came out to triage and then brought her back out to wait with advice to take her to my normal vet. I did that but she died the next day anyway from dehydration. It's very frustrating that animals cannot be seen at a place that advertises they are there for emergencies. If a human hospital left a person in life-threatening condition in a waiting room for 3+ hours, they would lose their license. Why is it not the same for pets? My issue is not with the staff. They were kind and I assume doing their best but the owners/management need to be held accountable when they can't provide treatment within a reasonable amount of time.

Any time your pet is having issues breathing; which can include increased respiratory rate, increased respiratory effort, or cyanotic (blue or purple) gums; it is best to have your pet seen by a veterinarian. Respiratory distress is a true emergency.
Give them a call. They're open now
Please call the vet directly for accurate information. They are only open on nights and weekends
