Could have port potties along the trail. A lot of trees and branches in tne pathway. But all in all it was easy and nice to ride.

This relatively new rail trail is rapidly becoming fully integrated with the recent completion of the bridge over Deep Creek near Hastings. So nice to experience this area safely on a dedicated rail trail while riding a bicycle! The scenic diversity and rural beauty make for a relaxing yet simultaneously stimulating journey. We look forward to riding here again!

What a great and safe trail for walking and biking. The main trail is paved and easy to use. Even crossovers on the highway have controlled lights. We parked north of Elkton and biked South 4 miles to the Armstrong Historic Site and Park. Stipped to see the site of the 1921 community established for black families only. Some historical buildings are still available. A real find mainly available along this trail. The trip is so quiet and peaceful we even met a group of bird watchers enjoying their sport.

Raceway parking lot in East Palatka is adjacent to trail. Also, rest stops off SR207 in Hastings.

There are multiple trailheads along the way. We usually start on the St. Augustine side, it's off of FL-207.

Not on this trail. Look on Facebook... Florida horse trails... They have lots of info.

How "deliverance/leatherfacey" would you say this trail is? The front photo on maps looks super sketch, but others look nice. Asking for a friend who doesn't want to end up in a shallow grave.

It does get a little sketchy near the st John's county fairgrounds. Park @207 North end. 2.5 miles to end northbound. You can go 3 miles southbound before it gets 'questionable' easy 10 miles round trip. Beautiful ride. Plenty of ditches, so no shallow grave.
