Geothermal Technology can harness within 4 days 40 years worth of power simply by harnessing the earths core temperature, wind power can only provide 11% & solar 4% the power Geothermal. Technology can, yet each has there place in clean energy. We need clean energy & need all of coal power plants enough is enough! P.A. is littered with both coal & nuclear power plants, each poisoning our water, our land, our air, & every living creature & living being! I've lost 4 immediate family members to cancer, 2 1st Aunts, 5 1st Uncles, & 2 more immediate family survived cancer, all within the past 10 years, all living within 40 miles of this power plant! #CleanEnergy

Get out of our town! You’re hurting our families! Fossil fuel companies and government subsidies are propping this place up. Our air quality has suffered immensely because of the uneducated population of western Pennsylvania. Believe it or not, climate change is real. The byproducts released from burning coal are dangerous and include sulfur dioxide, mercury and PM 10/2.5. I’m so happy that the egos of past generations are so big that they cannot possibly accept the fact that coal is dead and renewable energy is more sustainable. This plant filed for bankruptcy in 2017, won’t be long before the current owner files for bankruptcy again.

The plant has been off line for a while and has a scrubber. The coal pile is very low as well. It maybe fun to blame the President, but it isn't him.
