Servpro really completed and took care of the job I had at my rental property. I had a water related mold issue and they brought their team over including a manager to inspect the job and repair everything. Working with Michelle, Stacey, and Tara on the phone really made everything go very smooth and easy. the price was the best I found around the area. Very good people.

MJ and Jim were great. They put us at ease, were very compassionate. We had them clean the whole house due to construction. There was dust on everything. They reassured us that everything would be taken care of. These two men saved our sanity. A great job all around from two wonderful men.

Servpro is the BEST! When we arrived home from vacation in August, I started unpacking & realized that my closet floor was wet! What??? We immediately called Servpro & they showed up bright & early Monday morning. They immediately mitigated the water damage & checked for mold, which had already started to grow. We worked with Michelle, Daniel, Jim, Matthew & Stacy. Stacy spearheaded our rebuild. These are wonderful, caring, professional people who listen to you & answer all your questions. What a great group! We love them all! Thank you!

Do I have to be home during the initial process and monitoring?

SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022
SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022

Yes. You will need to be onsite for the technicians to go over what they will be doing and to sign the initial forms that are needed. If you are not able to meet us you will need to either email or fax the forms to the office before the technicians can begin any work in your home. During monitoring visits, you will have to make arrangements for our technicians to enter the home during business hours to be able to check on the drying process. If you cannot arrange for a neighbor or someone else to let us in, we will provide a lockbox for your house key. Only you and our employees will have the access code to that key. Company policy forbids us to enter a house with only a minor (<18) present.

Do I have to do anything with the equipment after the technicians leave?

Our dehumidifiers empty themselves as needed - don’t be alarmed if you don’t see water coming out of the plastic hose. The dehumidifiers and fans are designed to run safely 24 hours a day for days at a time. Please do not touch the equipment unless you suspect a safety issue. Keep children and pets away from the equipment. If a breaker trips or if unusual noise, smoke, smell, or leakage from the equipment is observed, please disconnect the equipment at the wall socket and then call our office immediately - day or night.

Does all water damage cause mold?

SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022
SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022

Each water damage event presents an opportunity for mold or other microbial growth. The source and type of water (Clean, Gray, or Black--highly contaminated), the severity of the leak, the ambient temperature, and the duration that moisture has been present all have a direct effect on the amount and types of microbial growth. It is crucial that you take action as soon as you realize that a damaging water event has occurred to prevent the spread of microbial growth in your residence or business.

What is the drying process for water damage?

SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022
SERVPRO of Flagler County | Apr 21, 2022

The drying process starts with the crew and the help of the homeowner if needed first to discover the source of the water leak and stop it. The crew checks for any electrical safety concerns. Our technicians can remove any pooling water from the wet area and use moisture detectors and measuring equipment as well as psychrometric charts to determine the moisture in the walls and the air. The crew will then develop a drying plan to determine the best means of restoration for the property. When a drying plan is established, we will then deploy a variety of drying systems and equipment, including air movers and commercial grade dehumidifiers, to thoroughly dry the materials and environment. The entire drying process generally takes about 3-5 days to complete, depending on the circumstances.
