A beautiful, holy place. Every moment I've spent on the grounds or inside has been full of peace and God's love. I know families can be together forever here!

The Anchorage Alaska temple is such a beautiful place where I feel God's love for me so strong. It truly is the house of the Lord.

From Anchorage, head south on the Seward Highway, just past the Huffman exit, look to your left and you will see the LDS chapel and temple spires through the trees. Proceed to, and take the De Armoun Road exit. Turn left at the light and take the immediate next left onto Brayton Road which parallels the highway. Heading north now, the temple is on the right just past Legacy Drive.

Not sure. I always just show them the barcode on my phone when I walk in.

Where is a temple clothing and garments store in Anchorage?

Sorry, but there isn't one. You can borrow temple clothing at the temple (limited inventory), but clothing and garments need to be ordered and shipped. Shipping is inexpensive. Go online store.churchofjesuschrist.org if you need men's smaller clothing, let me know. We have a set.

Is there a reason they don't secure their parking lot at night? It's become THE place in Anchorage for vehicles to congregate. Makes the neighbors really unhappy...

I have no idea why they don't secure the parking lot. Perhaps it's because they share it with the chapel next door where in the month of December, is very busy. Many nights of public Nativity presentations, local congregations having Christmas dinners, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints also hosts a foster care Christmas party in conjunction with OCS in that chapel next to the temple. All events should be over and cleaned up by at least 10pm.... maybe later if they had a lot to set up/tear down. If vehicles are congregating there after midnight, I would definitely call the police.
